      What you'll do:

      • Maintenance of fixed asset register including:
        • Management of additions and disposals
        • Monthly reconciliations and assist in preparing the monthly balance sheet pack
        • Updating policies and procedures
      • Maintenance of capital expenditure schedule including:
        • Assist in collating information on capital expenditure by project
        • Assist in providing project forecast to project managers
      • Financial statements preparation:
        • Preparation of the year-end financial statements for minor subsidiaries under the Manager's guidance; and
        • Assist the Group Reporting Manager to prepare the statutory mid-year and year-end financial statements for the ASX Group
      • Monthly close process:
        • Calculate rebate payments for market participants from contractual arrangements.
        • Posting of general ledger journals during the month for various balance sheet accounts
        • Monthly reconciliation of various general ledger balance sheet accounts to ensure balances are substantiated
        • Prepare various Australian Bureau of Statistics surveys and ensure that the appropriate data is supplied on a timely basis
        • Preparation of daily bank reconciliations and other bank account maintenance
        • Review the daily cash levels to ensure all bank accounts are appropriately funded and manage the daily payments processing

      What you've done:

      • Relevant accounting/commerce tertiary qualifications
      • Experience with Microsoft applications, particularly word and excel

      And if you've got some of this, even better:

      • Excel modelling skills
      • Knowledge around financial statement preparation
      • Accounting exposure
